Used Book Central is a marketplace that brings buyers and dealers together. Used Book Central acts as a passive conduit for online distribution and publication of dealer created information. However, Used Book Central may take any action with respect to such information it deems necessary or appropriate in its sole discretion if it believes it may create liability or cause it to lose any of the services of any affiliate(s) or supplier(s).

Used Book Central is responsible for providing the technical platform to make this process as enjoyable as possible for all involved, but not responsible for the listing of items by the dealers nor the delivery of those items to the buyers.

Because user authentication on the Internet is difficult, Used Book Central cannot and does not guarantee each member is who he or she claims to be. Used Book Central encourages members to communicate directly with transaction partners and to resolve all disputes in a businesslike fashion.

Used Book Central may terminate dealer accounts if those dealers are not licensed vendors, are found to have engaged in fraudulent activity, manipulation of prices, false advertising or other unfair business practices.

Used Book Central requires that listings be of legitimate book items that are non-defamatory, not libelous, or infringe on third party copyrights. Used Book Central consists almost entirely of information provided by members, including personalized member pages and listings of items for sale. Used Book Central does not monitor every piece of information contributed, but Used Book Central reserves the right to remove illegal or inappropriate content.

Used Book Central is otherwise non-discriminatory. Any business legally entitled to make binding contracts is eligible for Used Book Central membership.

Members are responsible for all personal information related to transactions and must keep that information current.

Used Book Central is protected by copyright as a collective work, pursuant to United States copyright laws. You may print portions of material from Used Book Central solely for your own noncommercial use. You may not otherwise modify, copy, publish, transmit, sell, create derivative works from, display, or in any way exploit any content contained in Used Book Central. Resale for commercial use of Used Book Central services is forbidden.
