Works has a very good help system.
Exporting to Used Book
Central (Easy Way)
1) Go to View
2) Choose List Highlight field (vertical column) which you do
NOT wish to export (eg "date bought")
3) Go to Record
4) Delete Field
5) Do this for all the fields you do not wish to export
6) Then go to File
7) Save As, Save as Type (=Text & Tabs) and complete the export
sequence.
8) Then close out of WORKS. You will be asked if you want to "save
changes?" and you must say no! This prevents the deletion of the
fields you did not wish to export, and which contain important
information, from being permanent. When you say "no", the program
will close, retaining those fields.
The
next step:
Sending your listings to Used Book Central
Once you have successfully formatted your listing in Microsoft Works,
you can now upload them to Used Book Central. The method you use
to send your listing depends on the Web browser you use and your
familiarity with FTP (File Transfer Protocol).
