Using FileMaker Pro

Before we begin
FileMaker Pro formats your listings as "delimited text files."

For FileMaker Pro v3
Set program to "Browse" mode (select from Mode menu at the top of the screen or the mode selector at the bottom).

  1. Click one File Menu
  2. Choose IMPORT/EXPORT
  3. Select EXPORT
  4. Name the file
  5. Select the option TAB-SEPARATED TEXT
  6. Click on SAVE.

When the "Export Field Order" window appears, move the fields that you want to export (AUTHOR, TITLE, DESCRIPTION, PRICE, etc.) from the left window to the right window by clicking on them in the proper order.

When you have your fields lined up in both windows, click EXPORT.

The next step: Sending your listings to Used Book Central

Once you have successfully formatted your listing in FileMaker Pro, you can now upload them to Used Book Central. The method you use to send your listing depends on the Web browser you use and your familiarity with FTP (File Transfer Protocol).
